The sidewalks along St. Nicholas Avenue on the eastern border of our park have been in horrible conditions for years. The Parks Department, especially Manhattan Commissioner William Castro, have been trying to help push the Department of Transportation to schedule repairs along St. Nicholas Park for a long time. We think it would help if we can get as many area residents to call 311 and complain about the state of the sidewalks. Please forward this to friends you know and have as many people call as you can. 2. Reason for call is a complaint about sidewalk conditions. They are unwalkable and unsafe.
3. Sidewalks on the western side of St. Nicholas Avenue from 135th street to 139th Street. In Manhattan.
