What a great turnout on Sunday May 1st, as the Friends played host to everyone who attended this years Annual Spring Festival/Egg Hunt on the 135th Street Plaza. Special thanks to event coordinator Kim DeBerry, Yuien Chin, volunteers Lisa Hayes, The Jones family and others who helped organized the event. Please join The Children’s Art Carnival students and staff for our 2010 End-of-Year Exhibit and Silent Auction Benefit. The event will showcase works created by the wonderful, young artists participating in our Spring Cycle programs. In addition, Children’s Art Carnival Instructors and creative affiliates will be exhibiting art and other offerings through a Silent Auction; proceeds will benefit The Carnival’s programs. Please join us in celebrating our awesome students, and support The Carnival by bidding on your favorite items!

What a great turnout on Saturday, as the Friends played host to over 350 people who attended our Annual Easter Festival on the 135th Street Plaza. Easter Festival Is Tomorrow! Saturday, April 3rd from 11am to 2pm!

This year’s popular Easter Festival is schedule to take place at the 135th Street Plaza in St. Nicholas Park on Saturday, April 3rd from 11am to 2pm. Join the Friends as we usher in Spring with Easter egg decorating, an Easter egg hunt, arts and crafts, and a special appearance by the Easter Bunny! We need lots of help planning! Presented by City Parks Foundation PuppetMobile / Swedish Cottage Marionette Theater City Parks Foundation will be producing a puppet show for neighborhood children at the 135th Street plaza in St. Nicholas Park on Wednesday, August 26th at 7pm. Sleeping Beauty tells the story of beautiful Princess Aurora and her friends. Come out to the 135th Street plaza for the bedtime tail of Sleeping Beauty. This is event is free and open to the public.
