St. Nick’s Dog Run

  • Dog Run Rules

IMG_1297St. Nicholas Park features one of the City’s largest dog runs – the St. Nick’s Dog Run. Members of the Friends of St. Nicholas Park spent two years fundraising, receiving approvals, and constructing this great addition to the park. Click here to read about St. Nick’s Ribbon Cutting ceremony with Commissioner Adrian Benepe. Located in the middle of the park near 136th Street, this shady expanse offers varied terrain and an area for smaller dogs. The active dog community helps maintain the run and hosts a monthly coffee social for dog owners called the Coffee Bark.

Coffee Barks

IMG_1296Coffee Barks are monthly events for dog owners to meet one another and discuss issues and volunteer opportunities in the dog run. They are held on the first Saturday of every month at the St. Nick’s Dog Run from 9-11am. Coffee, donuts and other refreshments are provided. Those interested in volunteering at the dog run or would like to join our mailing list should send an email to dogpark@stnicholaspark.org.
