Hamilton Grange

Near the Park’s northern border is where you’ll find Alexander Hamilton’s farmhouse, “The Grange”. Alexander Hamilton was the first United States Secretary of the Treasury, a Founding Father, and political philosopher. It was moved into the park in 2008 and is situated within what was Hamilton’s original estate border. The Grange was opened to the public on September 17, 2011 (Constitution Day). It now stands as one of New York City’s premier historical buildings. Tours can be arranged daily. The Friends are planning events for the Grange. If interested please contact us and let us know how you would like to help.

Below is a video describing the Hamilton Grange and its historic move.
